The defendant is held responsible for appearing in court on his or her court date and is required to follow any instructions of the court. If the defendant fails to appear or violates an order of the court, the court may issue a bench warrant for the defendant's arrest.

If we are able to contact the defendant, we will advise them on further actions that can be taken. This situation is often fixable, and if not, cost can be minimized, but only if we can contact the defendant! If we are unable to contact the defendant, a recovery agent will have to be hired to apprehend the defendant and return him to the custody of the court.
